Khadi Sandalwood & Honey Body Wash: In winter I like to do 3 step home spa with a body oil, a body wash, and a body moisturizer. Sometimes a relaxing massage with a good smelling body oil and a warm shower with similar smelling body wash help to unwind like nothing else. I generally prefer baby products for their mildness. But this time I wanted to try something else so I got Khadi Natural Sandalwood & Honey Body Wash. I have also bought the body oil from the same range to use with this body wash. Sandalwood scent is an unexplored territory for me. Generally, the budget-friendly sandal based products have very strong and artificial sandal fragrance; this type of fragrance triggers my migraine pain. However, after using it for 2-3 times I have gained some nice experiences with this product. Let’s read on to know how I am coping up with my first sandalwood body wash.

My Experience with Khadi Sandalwood & Honey Body Wash
Packaging- This oil comes in a clear plastic bottle with a black 2-in-1 screw-open plus flip-open bottle. Most of the liquid or gel products from Khadi are packed in an exactly same way so there is nothing much to say about the packaging. The overall quality of the packaging is quite good; it is a sturdy, travel-friendly and spill-proof bottle which can be reused once the product inside gets over.
Colour & Texture- The body wash looks dark maroonish in the bottle but when you pour out in small quantity it looks deep orange. The body wash is not very but not too runny either. The consistency is in-between. It gets spread very easily and creates moderate lather. The formula is more moisturizing than their clarifying Orange body wash so you would not get the dry feeling after using it. Still, you will need something moisturizing afterward for the harshness of winter steals moisture from the body pretty quickly. In summer, however, you can skip body lotion if your skin is not too dry.
Fragrance- Here comes the interesting part. As it is a budget-friendly product, I expected it to smell all artificial but this one has simply awed me in this department. This oil has sandalwood ittar or attar kind of smell which is not at all overpowering. Once you apply the product, the smell starts to get fainter and fainter. There is just a mild whiff of fragrance to be found after towel-drying the skin post-shower that too goes off within 15-20 minutes (if you are not using any fragrant moisturizer afterward).
Experience- Before coming to the effects this has on my skin, let me tell you how I use it. Sometimes I do oil massage beforehand and sometimes I skip oiling. This body wash creates enough lather to cleanse my skin without ripping off the natural moisture from the skin. It helps to clear the dullness from the skin and makes my skin looking healthy and soft. The body moisturizer I use after this gets absorbed better. This product claims to remove tans but currently, I do not have tanning problem. So, I am not the best judge of that claim. This body wash makes my skin look radiant and did not give any irritations or body acne.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
I would like to repurchase this body wash but not immediately after finishing up my current bottle. I have plenty of body washes in my stash right now. I am going to finish every one of them! I would suggest this body wash to some sandal fragrance lover or anyone who is looking for a substitute of body soap that will cleanse soften and make the skin look radiant.

This is the only problem with khadi products. They don’t give full ingredient list.
Yeah you are right. Out of all the Khadi products I tried till date, only their sandalwood oil mentions full ingredient list 😥
