It’s summertime and let’s face it all of us like to feel oil and grease free. On my recent shopping sprees, I came across the VLCC MELIA FACEWASH which claims to control sebum secretion and let’s not forget how attractive and bubbly the facewash looked in the tube so I bought it in one of those sudden instincts and I don’t regret it either. Let’s see how it fared for me.

My Experience With VLCC Melia Face Wash
Packaging- The face wash comes in a tube which looks quite simple and attractive. The cap consists of a flip cover which closes with a nice click and it takes a good amount of energy to pop open the cap so it’s really nice and safe to carry around. The size of the tube makes it travel-friendly too.
Texture and Consistency- The facewash is a gel-based facewash like most of the oil controlling facewashes. The consistency is just about right, neither too thick nor runny.
Fragrance- Well it doesn’t really have an offensive smell, to be honest, the fragrance is rather like an aqua perfume.
Experience- Well, I have some good things to say for this facewash, let’s appreciate this product one at a time. The face wash doesn’t create a lot of lather or foam but does a decent job at creating some froth. Like most of the oil and sebum controlling facewashes, this too has a gel base(though I like the cream based ones). I usually clean my face using this in circular motions for a minute before finally washing it off. This is the kind of facewash that you will keep wanting to wash off because it feels like some of it is still left behind! Yes, that kind :p
Once done I usually pat dry and now comes the magic- I woke up next morning zit free! (Ohh I wish :p just kidding) well, this is one facewash that really controls the sebum secretion by keeping the oil in check. I have normal skin and using this face wash keeps my face dry and free of oil for a long time. You know that good grease-free dry feeling I’m talking about? THAT!
Using it for quite a few months definitely gave me a skin which had the lesser appearance of zits. No, it did nothing to the existing ones except that some of them dried out and fell off like dead skin does, but there was a decrease in the constant eruption. This makes me safely say that this is one facewash that could also benefit people out there who have OVEREXCITED oil glands.
The skin might initially feel a bit stretchy but I just follow up with a toner and skip the moisturizer and it does dry me out.

Though I love this facewash for effectively controlling oil secretion to a large extent but at the same time don’t expect it to work like magic. A great buy for people who want that oil and grease free skin.
