Who is it for? Ben Nye Essential Eye Shadow Twilight Sable Is For those looking for an affordable matte brown eyeshadow that is decently pigmented.
Approx INR 400
My experience with the Ben Nye Essential Eye Shadow Twilight Sable
So I buy a lot of refill eye shadow products because it’s easier to carry around in a magnetic palette. And all refills products have pretty much the same packaging. So you’re going to read the same thing again. It comes in a magnetic palette that is placed in a plastic casing which has basic details mentioned on it.
It’s a brown shade that I usually use to contour the eyes or to add a bit of a smokey effect. I also use the Twilight Sable for the eyebrows. I usually prefer using a powder product to fill in the eyebrows and this works very well.
It’s a smooth texture but not how I love it- butter-like. When you take it on your fingers you can tell that there’s a product but it isn’t granular, so that’s good.
Twilight Sable isn’t very pigmented- just about decent. So you have to layer up for the color to show through. I should the pigment was stronger.
Ben Nye is a good brand and the products do a good job. I haven’t had any issue with their shadows…they stay on pretty well. No creasing or washing off.
INR 400 is fair enough. If you get a good quality product for that price, I think it’s totally worth it.
Brown is a shade that suits all skin tones. So you don’t have to stress about whether it will suit you are not. Although, on darker skin tones, you will have to layer up a bit more as compared to lighter tones.
What do I like?
- Staying Power
- Suits all skin tones
- Multipurpose product
- Smooth texture
What do I not like?
- I wish the product was a little more pigmented and I think brands really need to start playing around with refill packaging.
Would I repurchase & recommend?
For sure. It’s such a multipurpose product. And who doesn’t need a shade to smoke up their eyes!!
